More About the Land
Truly the land upon which the Zion UB church building rests has been "HOLY GROUND" as its history attests.
The Ogden Township Camp Meeting Association purchased 24.8 acres in 1947. Camp meetings were held in tents while pledges were received for a Tabernacle building. This 40-foot by 80-foot structure was completed in 1950. In 1952 and 1954, the "cottages" for the camp meeting workers were built. In 1953, a well was drilled and a flowing well was found.
In 1962, the front of the property was cleared. In 1967, the 24 foot by 40 foot Chapel/Restroom building was built, complete with a septic tank system and showers with hot water.

Zion United Brethren Church
Throughout the years that the Ogden Camp Meeting Associate was operated on these grounds, many area pastors and lay persons worked cooperatively with evangelists, song leaders, children' workers, and missionaries to effectively proclaim God's Word to all who would come.
The property was sold to Zion United Brethren Church for a sum that was in turn donated to the C.P.C. of Adrian, Michigan. A new church building was built on the property and dedicated on September 21, 1997.
Zion Activity Center (ZAC)
The original Tabernacle building was renovated and renamed the Zion Activity Center (ZAC). It is now used for a variety of purposes including youth group meetings, church dinners and men's fellowship breakfasts. The ZAC is also available for use by members of the congregation for private parties, showers, and events.
Pavilion
The building that houses the chapel and restrooms was extended with a pavilion, which provides a great spot for outdoor activities.
For over 60 years, through the power of His Holy Spirit, God has touched many lives on these grounds. It is our prayer that God will continue to bless and touch people's lives through the ministry of Zion United Brethren Church on these holy grounds.
